Prior to making the move into the outdoor activities industry in 2002 I was a mechanical engineer holding positions from technician and designer to workshop and quality management. I then worked exclusively in the outdoor activities industry both as a freelance coach and as a senior instructor with a leading outdoor activities provider.
Then in 2011 PK Paddlesport was formed. Using my engineering background and
experience in the outdoor industry I am able to offer support to paddlers both on and off the water.
PK Paddlesport now provides a canoe and kayak repair and maintenance service as well as coaching and leading on the water across the UK and Europe.

I am a level 3 kayak coach with over 40 years of experience paddling kayaks and open canoes at home and abroad.
I came into the sport via canoe slalom as a C2 and C1 paddler who competed at national and international level for over 10 years, finally retiring after 28 years of ranked competition. I am also a level 2 slalom coach specialising in C1 and C2.
